Hilton Head Parks and Playgrounds
Hilton Head is home to many Parks, Playgrounds and unique areas to spend your **FREE** time while on the island. This includes the newest Lowcountry Celebration Park. The Lowcountry Celebration Park, which opened in December 2020, is Hilton Head Island's newest park. Situated on a 10-acre site off Pope Avenue near the Coligny Beach parking lot, this amazing park provides active and passive recreational activities, amenities, and scenic views for families and individuals, organizations and community groups. The park is minutes away from the Town's award-winning Coligny Beach Park. While Coligny provides direct access to the beach, the new Lowcountry Celebration features attractions designed to help park visitors engage in play, discover the Island's environment and be part of cultural festivities.
This also includes one of our favorites Shelter Cove Community Park.
Shelter Cove Community Park offers incredible views of Broad Creek, marsh habitat, and wildlife. The park's beautiful views are the backdrop of concerts, festivals, and special events throughout the year. The park features a large shelter that functions as a stage for performances, an event lawn, a playground, public art, picnic areas, restroom facilities, and a waterfront promenade.
Both Parks are surrounded by great shopping, dining, desert and lots of events happening all year long.
