Beaches
Hilton Head Island SC has over 12 miles of beautiful hard packed beaches to enjoy. The beaches are public however the access can be private. Hilton Head is the second largest barrier island on the East Coast along with a tide that changes an average of 6 to 8 feet every 6+ hours. Our beaches are beautiful, hard packed because of the tide range and great for biking, running, beach sports, well… pretty much great for anything on the beach!
Hours of operation (unless otherwise stated) for all Hilton Head parks and beach parks are:
Monday – Sunday 6 AM – 9 PM
Winter Hours (Daylight Savings Time Ends)
Monday – Sunday 6 AM to 6 PM
